Planned Parenthood layoffs create uncertainty in pro-choice movement

When Planned Parenthood laid off more than 100 staff members at its headquarters over the summer, the organization was met with public criticism. The organization said the pivot was necessary to “meet this moment” after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade. However, staffers who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the subject matter often described disillusionment with the organization.
